Who is Kristy Webb?
Kristy Webb was born and raised
in Miami, FL. After attending FIU's Theater program, she moved to New York in 2005. Her second day in NYC, she had her
first class at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and made UCBNY
her home base until moving to LA in 2008. In LA, she worked on her hollywood
hustle while studying at Lesly Kahn & Co. She now has returned home to Miami and is represented by
Peggi McKinley at Runways The Talent Group. She is currently hosting “Fresh Fried Group Mind” workshops, bringing the art of long form comedy, character work and sketch writing to
South Florida. Undeniably funny and engaging,
Kristy Webb conveys solid intensity in both her dramatic AND comedic
performances.
Extended Bio:
In New York, she performed Off-Broadway in The Vagina Monologues and Off Off (...way off) Broadway, in some Shakespeare stuff. Also, she can be seen briefly in Robert Altman's last film, A Prairie Home Companion, walking across the stage with a gong. In 2007, she vlog'd weekly with her segment "3ft Deep" for Heavy.com's "The Heavy Show", and continued as a regular on Vh1's "Best Night Ever", the online podcast for Bestweekever.tv. In 2008, just before moving to LA, The NY Daily News had her impersonate Sarah Palin for a fun cover story during the excitement of the 2008 election. For six hours, Kristy marched her hair poof, red suit, and sassy frames all over Manhattan, shaking hands with NY-ers who ACTUALLY believed she was Sarah Palin! This would lead to many other fun gigs impersonating Palin, notably in the pilot for The Aisha Tyler Show. Also in Los Angeles, she performed at The Comedy Store, UCB LA, and various independent films (Not Necessary, Glory Days).
Kristy at UCB Theater NY:
At UCBNY, she appeared in the improv shows Blackout, True Hollywood Stories, UCBW, and was a performer on UCB's Maude team, The Skuntz. She studied with some greats of UCBNY, notably: Neil Casey (Adult Swim), Christina Gausas (Conan, 30Rock), Anthony King (Guttenberg! The Musical), Billy Merrit (Boiling Points, Uncorked), Bobby Moynihan (SNL, When in Rome, Mystery Team), Rob Riggle (SNL, Daily Show, Gary Unmarried), and Charlie Sanders (Conan, When in Rome, Death Valley).
